Patrick was a Director in the Structured Products Group of UBS and was involved in market leading transactions such as Sainsbury’s £1.8bn debt restructuring and £2bn delinked CMBS issuance. While at UBS, a large account he covered offered to help him set up his own advisory boutique through the provision of initial mandates, which he did in 2007 by founding Suez Capital.
Throughout the credit crunch, Patrick continued executing a substantial amount of large transactions in the LBO and real estate sector. During that period he assisted companies in raising £5bn and restructuring c. £3bn of loans. Patrick also advises the board of a family office with regard to their structured finance and capital markets transactions and has contributed to a strong IRR track record.
Prior to working at UBS, Patrick was a credit analyst in the structured finance team of Moody’s. He also worked in the structured finance team of Clifford Chance in London, during which time he also completed an extended secondment in Morgan Stanley’s Structured Products Group.
Patrick holds an MA from Oxford (1996) and a Ph.D. from the Sorbonne (1999).
